Adventure with God

Ohh, I am so excited you landed on this page – it is my favorite!

Have you ever went on an awesome hike or cool vacation destination and wanted to share it with someone? It is natural to want to share what you love and what gives you joy with others. That’s how I feel about God. Even more so!

Have you been bit by the wanderlust bug but feel that you are, well, wandering aimlessly? Surely there is a bigger purpose for your adventures!!??

Maybe you are weary, anxious and long for peace ALL THE TIME, not just when you are chasing adventures.

Maybe you just clicked over to the blog for some practical, outdoor adventure tips, and you found a gal talking about connecting with God outside. How weird is that??

Maybe it sounds crazy, but you want to know more…..

The first thing I want you to know is that God loves you.

Yeah, yeah maybe you’ve heard that before. But really, He does. Just as you are – wind tossed and trail dirty.

He longs to share your adventures, your life, with you.

Forever and always.

And you know what? Until you have experienced the unconditional love of Jesus for yourself, a lot of what I share won’t make sense and will seem crazy.

Hey, I think I’m kinda Jesus crazy sometimes and I believe!

God wants to save you and share your life with you, but the kicker is, you are going to have to ask Him.

Because I’m not perfect and don’t want to mess this up, let’s look at what the Bible says about you having your own relationship with Jesus. I’m sorry if this sounds like a script, but seriously, there are some simple steps to salvation and it is easiest to just break it down.

For everyone that calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

First you have to admit you are a sinner. Wow, sinner sounds like such a religious word. Sin is doing something wrong that the Bible says not to do. We all do bad things. Don’t worry, the Bible is much more than a book of rights and wrongs and rules!

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Second, ask God to forgive you for the things you’ve done wrong, for your sin. No sin is too big for God to forgive! Remember, He loves you!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgives us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Third, believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and that He forgives you. Didn’t know that He died for you? He did. He gave the ultimate sacrifice so that you could have eternal life. Not just eternal life after death, but a joyful life now.

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Fourth, invite God into your life. Ask Him to save you. Surrender your life to Him and ask Him to be Lord of your life.

If you declare with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Confess. Ask. Believe

If you made this decision, please let me know! Just click the box below after you fill out your name and email. I want to get happy with you and encourage you in this brand new adventure!

Still skeptical? I want you to still hang around. I will be praying for you. I’m not being sarcastic or cheesy when I say that. Because, really, I am praying for you. Not because I think you are terrible or not enough, but because my hope and prayer is that you know my wild, wonderful God personally.

That you find the refuge and hope and courage and peace and JOY that only God can give.
